Deri Llewellyn-Davies
Founder and Visionary CEO
Deri has been delivering strategic advice to scale up for over a decade serving over a £1 billion in scale up companies. Specializing in a number of industries including property. Deri has a real passion and skill in the property asset class advising some of the biggest names in the industry. This opportunity is his creation. Deri is leading and personally owning this scale up opportunity and Vision as it aligned with all his passions.
Nikki Owen
Retreats Director
Nikki joins us with 15 years experience in the events and retreats industry. In her previous businesses she was involved from startup through to leading one of the UK’s biggest personal development businesses, training hundreds of coaches and running world class retreats around the world. She has a passion for running and attending retreats so really understands the needs of the industry. She is excited about creating the ultimate space for UK retreats.

Food and Beverage Team

Amber Evans
Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
Amber is local to Cardiff. She completed her Education degree at Aberystwyth University then went on to travel Europe, America, Asia and Australia where she then began her career in hospitality. Her passion for the industry comes from growing up in the hospitality sector where her parents owned a restaurant and a pub. She loved the feeling of being part of the experience for other people, knowing that she can be integral to someone having a memorable and special experience by building relationships, offering a great service and being real. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities, exploring new places and spending time with her family and friends.
Adam Whittle
Head Chef
Adam is our Head Chef here at Raglan Country Estate, with an outstanding repertoire in creating award-winning food with Michelin star experience and is highly regarded for his skills. He was previously Head Chef at The Newbridge on Usk, (2 AA rosette award restaurant, Waitrose good food guide and listed in the Michelin guide), Welsh culinary championship gold medalist, gold and silver medalist competing with the Welsh Culinary team at the World Masters in Switzerland and has even Cooked for Her Majesty the Queen at the opening of the Welsh Assembly Senedd. Adam is a born creative, with a passion for mastering local flavours and tastes with sustainably sourced local suppliers and produce; to create seasonal menus and dishes that are diverse, unique and sustainable. Adam is particularly excited about the plans to build our own organic garden and beehives to grow essential ingredients to support creating an experience people did not know they were missing.
Robert Maw
Sous Chef
With over 15 years in the industry, Robert has a love for cooking and hospitality and will be working alongside Adam, our Head Chef. They have a close history working together for 6 years at The Newbridge On Usk and at The White Hart Village Inn, allowing them to work seamlessly to create delicious food. His extensive experience includes working at the prestigious Coworth Park, in Ascot as senior Chef de Partie looking after the Royal Guards polo events as well as serving Her Royal Highness, Her Majesty the Queen. Robert’s passion for food expands into his personal life, where Robert enjoys foraging for summer and walking. As a local to the area, he adores the unique environment the estate provides in the serene backdrop of the rolling countryside it inhabits. He has visited the Estate throughout his life and is thrilled to be a part of its development and creating fantastic dining offerings for everyone to enjoy.

Grounds Team

Andrew Lord
Head Groundsman
Andrew has extensive experience in all aspects of amenity horticulture and joins us with almost 20-year experience of greens keeping. He has qualifications in agriculture as well as amenity horticulture. His many years experience as Head Green Keeper have equipped him well for managing the team needed to create the grounds and greens experience, we desire throughout the estate. He was most recently managing a large estate and 18 hole golf course and is keen to develop our green infrastructure plans.

Marketing & Events Team

Charlotte Cartwright
Marketing & PR
Originally local to Raglan, Charlotte has returned to the area after developing her career across the world and in London. She completed her Classics and Ancient History degree at Trinity St David and participated in various communications and marketing internships in the UK and USA when studying. Her career in marketing has developed in the luxury experience and sports industry, starting at the world-renowned Ascot Racecourse. She loved contributing to the creation of world-class experiences for customers that, in turn, created life-long memories and joy in their lives; This combined with a passion for writing flourished through sharing the sensational stories available for others to be a part of. Her career took her on to work in finance in London and with the luxury Landrover restoration brand, Arkonik. In addition to freelance work in Melbourne, Australia and locally. "I've travelled all over the world and there aren't many places that can match us here. The friendly people, the outstanding scenery and the history. There's no better place to call home and to share with the world. . I am thrilled to be able to help develop an unforgettable world-class and unique experience for people to enjoy.”
Sarah Sutton-Dodd
Events Organiser
Sarah has been organising high profile events, along with developing businesses and hospitality venues around the UK and overseas for over 30 years. Having relocated to Monmouthshire in 2014 for her son to attend school, Sarah sought out unique, industry contributors with whom she could collaborate, on events projects. Her family are originally from South Wales and Sarah has a huge love of the area; its warm and eclectic culture, the wonderful people and is constantly inspired by the huge potential of the area. Now working with Raglan Country Estate, Sarah will bring her dedicated customer care and an exciting range of events and experiences for everyone to enjoy. From themed dining experiences and guest speaker lunches, to outdoor events for families, entertainment and seasonal fayres. 'The ground breaking plans for Raglan Country Estate are inspiring, the quality of every aspect is exceptional and I look forward immensely, to being part of its evolvement into a premier, go to destination.'

Finance Team

Matthias Ossyra
Financial Controller
"Matthias is our Financial Controller and has been with us since Raglan's inception. He has set up and runs his own businesses giving him an invaluable perspective of what a CEO looks for when scaling up. Prior to setting up his own consultancy business, Matthias was CFO for Soho Catering, SME Cashflow Partner and Numbers Nerds. Despite being a self-confessed man of numbers, Matthias is also a trained physiotherapist, musician, actor and screenwriter. Whilst mild-mannered you don’t want to cross swords with him. Matthias often can be found walking through town with his foil on his way to a fencing session. He competes across the UK and internationally.”
